Beach Bus!

School is out for summer! Thank you sweet baby Jesus! This leaves a lot of time for extracurricular activities. We decided that it would be a great idea to take our short bus out to the beach on the regular. Starting soon we will be shuttling people from the fountains every other week to the beach. If you don’t have a ride we are your solution. We are hoping to have a good time each Saturday and build relationship in the process. Help us make this a success. Fun weekend!

Two fun things are happening this week.

1. We are having out last chipotle’ lunch on Wednesday Feb 15 at 1pm. We will begin again in a couple of weeks in a new room with a re-vamped meeting.

2. Camping trip out on a farm. It’s totally free! You just have to bring food to cook over the fire. Check out the details here. Friday the 17th at 5pm

Guatemala Trip

This summer we will be taking a trip to Buena Vista, Guatemala. The projected dates are July 13-17. We will be working alongside two amazing ministries aimed at bring love and aide to Guatemalans in poverty.  I will be working on a price for this trip, but it will be very reasonable. Here are the ministries we will be supporting.

1) The Buena Vista Sports Academy for Boys. This camp a part of a long-term commitment to breaking generational chains of abuse, absence, addiction related to poverty in the village of Buena Vista, Guatemala.

2) The 12×12 Love Project is the beginning of an effort to eradicate abject poverty in a small Guatemalan village.  This dream started with one family who decided to leave the comforts of their western lifestyle and move into this impoverished area to show the love of God to a people in desperate need.  They have built more than 12 homes for as low as 3,000 dollars a piece.

Chipotle’ Wednesdays

We are continuing the six weeks of burritos. Come out Wednesday at 1pm and join the conversation. We meet in the cafeteria across from the 1st floor bathrooms. Last week we had to  move our spot because people were taking it up. If you dont see us, look around the cafeteria. We will be there! I am working on getting City on Campus club status to remedy the problem!

This week’s festivities!

• Wednesday the 25th at 1 pm, we will continue our chipotle’ lunch hangout. We meeting in the glass breakout room, across from the bathrooms, in first floor of the cafeteria.
• Thursday the 26th we are do dinner/hangout at the Keller’s house. We meet at 7:30 pm in the Southpoint area. Our Address is 8204 White Falls Blvd. 32256,  Unit 112. Call me to get in 904.612.518
• Saturday the 28th at 7:30 am street corner ministry. It is located across from city rescue mission at the white house.
